Mini, midi, maxi, colorful, subdued, patterned, lace, plain, slim fit – we check which dress suits the mother of the bride. Or maybe her wedding creation will be pants in the lead role?
A child’s wedding is a very important celebration, during which every mother wants to look her best. So it is time to choose the right dress.
It is better to avoid tight and very short ones. It is worth to take a look at your figure and adjust the cut of the dress to it – do you want to uncover some legs, or maybe it is better to emphasize the neckline and shoulders, or the waist?
There is no point in getting too old or putting on a “bland” creation. Mom also has to feel special on that day, and it is unlikely that she will do so in the once popular suit.
The color of the dress itself is also important – white and black are out of the question, but all “cheerful” colors, such as powder pink, blue and cobalt, beige or bottle green, purple, maroon, possibly navy blue, will be perfect. You may also be tempted to use gold or silver accents. Moreover, the fabric should be noble, smooth or lacy, with embroidery or guipure.
A great solution is also to wear shaping underwear, which will smooth out any folds or hide a protruding belly.
The most popular are cocktail dresses with a marked waist and a fitted or flared skirt – comfortable, stylish and feminine.
If we prefer a midi length, i.e. to mid-calf, we always wear them with high heels, so as not to disturb our proportions and not to give the impression of a ‘heavy’ figure.
Moms, who are tall and have a statuesque figure, will look phenomenal in maxi dresses made of flowing material. Here, however, well cover the neckline and shoulders to gain optical lightness.
Women with larger breasts should choose models with wider shoulder straps and not too built-up top. Cheese neckline is a great way to slim. If we do not like shoulders, dresses with longer sleeves will be perfect – even in summer.
Who said that for this special event you can not wear pants? If you feel better in them than in a dress, by all means go for this option. However, the key is to match them properly – both in terms of cut, color, and type of material.
Styling with pants for the wedding of your child will be equally elegant, if you choose the right fabric – only excellent quality, it can be flowing. The safest, however, will be straight leg and high waist, and for this heeled shoes. You can also go wild with colors, especially if the top will be quite conservative.
The right blouse is also very important. Lace and satin models will work especially well. They may also have an interesting pattern or fancy ties.
Last but not least, let’s not forget that the bride’s mom’s wedding styling also includes shoes, handbag, makeup and hairstyle. Here everything should be consistent.
