One-color ensembles look stylish and are the perfect solution for those who love monochromatic outfits. How to wear total looks like a fashion icon?

Different Material Textures

Many women don’t know how to wear monochrome outfits without looking dull or bland. If we want to dress uniformly in terms of color – it’s worth playing with the textures of materials. Do not be afraid to match different fabrics – silk, denim, viscose or mohair can blend and compose in an interesting way. Nothing stands in the way of combining lace, sequins, or knitted weaves. Shiny, rough, hairy or irregular surfaces of fabrics will add variety to monochromatic stylisations. Total look does not mean repeatability in every dimension!

Mixing Shades of the Same Colour

Juggling shades of the same color is another way to stand out from the crowd. One color contains many shades – it is worth using its potential 100%. For example, you can match underwear top in powder pink with ruby skirt, amaranth sandals and light sweater in pompeian pink. This unusual outfit is sure to catch the eye of passers-by

Play with patterns

Deciding on a total look, it is worth experimenting with patterns of clothes of the same color. How to do it in a skillful way? We can combine spots, dots and pepitraps, remembering to keep it in moderation (it is enough that one element of clothing will be patterned, e.g. pants or jacket, the rest should be in solid color).

Contrasting accessories

As we all know, the icing on the cake of any outfit are accessories – what accessories will make a monochromatic outfit more attractive? For a total look we can use gold or silver jewelry, also leather accessories are welcome – a belt, gloves or a bag in a contrasting color will give the outfit a dynamic and modern character.

Layers and different lengths

Another way to make the total look surprising and less obvious is to juggle layers and lengths. Don’t be afraid to combine a long shirt with a shorter mohair sweater or jacket – even if they are in the same shade, the styling may have a unique character. Match it with flared pants and leather boots and you will look as if you have just seen your personal stylist.

Colors in Tune with the Seasons

Total looks should be created according to the season. In spring, monochrome sets with pastels are the most popular. In summer timeless white, blue and yellow look best. Autumn and winter are a great opportunity for creating total looks inspired by the colors of the earth.

The most fashionable total looks – which Polish and international celebrities are worth following?

The master of combining one-coloured sets is undoubtedly Victoria Beckham, Melania Trump, Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie and the Olsen sisters. In Poland it is worth taking inspiration from total looks of Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Katarzyna Sokołowska, Magdalena Cielecka and Weronika Rosati. These stars have mastered the art of wearing monochromatic sets to perfection. They know how to stand out from the crowd, thanks to their individual style.

We hope our tips encourage you to play with fashion and experiment with colors, textures and clothing lengths. If you want to look interesting, do not forget about accessories and a smile on your face, which always adds confidence.
